Network Engineer (Indonesia)

As Network Engineer you are responsible for the foundation of an organization’s IT system. You will assist with day-to-day troubleshooting tasks, but also take on the higher-level task of designing and implementing successful systems and networks. The job also involves creating documentation of the design and implementation, change requests, and incident reports. The ability to perform network security or system analysis and design is a must.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks and communications links of the cloud infrastructure
• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, firewall, DNS, and DHCP
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Perform or automate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for security patches, OS updates, and failover procedures
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
• Reporting network status and incidents to key stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, system information, computer science or equivalent
• Demonstrated proficiency in network administration (TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, BGP, Load Balancing, NAT, and routing)
• Experience in configuring software-based (IPsec & SSL) VPN solutions such as pfSense
• Experience in configuring VPN devices such as Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto
• Experience in operating security products such as firewalls, SIEM, identity management, and data loss prevention.
• Expertise in routing and switching as well as Firewall operation (e.g., Cisco router/switches, Fortinet, Mikrotik)
• Strong administering in the Linux and Windows operating system platform
• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
• Good at scripting programming such as bash, Python
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Familiar with cloud networking is a plus such as AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, Azure Vnet
• Network certification is a plus (i.e., CCNA, MTCNA)
