As Museum Director, you will shape and oversee the overall strategic direction of the museum, ensuring the highest standards of excellence in curatorial, educational, and visitor experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and nurture solid relationships with stakeholders and effectively convey the museum's non-profit goals and educational significance.
- Team Leadership: Manage and inspire teams of museum & hospitality professionals, providing leadership and guidance in all aspects of museum operations for the successful execution of museum programs and initiatives.
- Promoting understanding of Bali and Balinese culture: Develop and implement strategies to promote understanding of Balinese culture to visitors. Oversee the planning and execution of educational initiatives in the form of exhibitions and programs.
- External Affairs: Develop partnerships with universities, cultural institutions, communities, curators, researchers and other relevant stakeholders to enhance museum’s collection and interpretation. Act as the museum's PR spokesperson to diverse audiences.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee the museum's budget, resource allocation, and financial sustainability.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in cultural institutions or museums.
- Familiarity with Balinese culture and genuine commitment to community engagement.
- Strong communication skills in both Indonesian and English.
- Proven leadership with effective stakeholders and team management abilities.
