Mobile Software Engineer

Favorite Medium is a digital product consultancy specialising in web and mobile software product development. Established in 2006, we have offices in Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and San Francisco and have developed digital products for clients all over the world in the media, technology, and financial services verticals.

We are looking for a meticulous, curious software engineer to join our team. An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of work experience and deep knowledge of at least one object-oriented or functional programming language.

This is a remote position but there is a requirement to work regular SGT/HKT business hours.

Requirements

• Experience developing and deploying mobile applications
• Significant, hands-on experience deploying native production iOS or Android applications
• Complete command of a statically-typed programming language such as C++ or Rust
• Enthusiasm to embrace new programming languages and paradigms
• Network programming experience with TCP/IP sockets
• Solid understanding of computer architecture
• Comfortable communicating in spoken and written English

Nice to have

• Exposure to design tools, such as Figma, Invision, Adobe XD, etc.
• Dart and/or Flutter
• Functional language interest (Haskell, Elm, Erlang, or similar)
• Active in the open source community as a blogger or contributor
