Mobile Engineer

Amartha is embarking on an exciting new journey and seeks experienced engineers to collaborate with senior management, existing engineers, and the product team in shaping the next wave of innovative product offerings. The goal is to ensure Amartha leapfrogs into the next phase of its journey.

As a Mobile Engineer, you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge mobile applications and ensuring their performance, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Mobile platform
• Collaborate with the engineering team from planning to execution to achieve development goals.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Ensure all service delivery is scalable and secure.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies, presenting these for architectural review.

• Experienced as a Mobile Engineer or Software Engineer
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the related field
• Proven working experience in software development, with one or more published Android apps in the Play Store
• Experience in Native Mobile Development using Flutter
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Proven experience in writing readable code, creating extensive documentation for existing code, and refactoring previously written code
• Familiar with secure engineering practices
• Strong exposure to Financial Technology is a plus
• Strong exposure to Firebase Analytics & Firestore is a plus
