The Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer team supports product and business teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. They are adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for business and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. Machine Learning Engineer is kinda similar to a Software Engineer, with additional complexity to manage, the Machine Learning Model. A Candidate that will lead this team needs to have an experience in Software Engineering career, especially in building and maintaining a large microservice architecture system, and has experience in design and automation such as CI/CD process. He/She has to have a mindset that everything needs to be monitored and not leaving an untraceable code / system. A Machine Learning Engineer manager should have a deep knowledge of machine learning algorithms, so that he/she can have a drawing about the performance of the ML model built by the Data Science team and is responsible for overseeing activities of the machine learning engineer team ensuring proper execution of duties and alignment with the business’s overall vision. Aside from technical skills, an MLE lead should be able to help the team to maximize the team's capabilities, and help them to grow according to their interest.
Your main duties in flying with us:
- Manages the business’s external data and analytics partners and plays a leading role in the development and design of the departmental vision, capabilities, infrastructure, and quarterly/annual roadmap for the launch of machine learning engineer capabilities.
- Within the machine learning engineer team, to collaborate in delivering AI projects.
- Plays a mentorship role to key machine learning engineer positions, guiding them through the execution of their duties, and encouraging their professional growth.
- As part of the organization, to collaborate with engineers from different teams to build successful integration for AI projects implementation.
- Liaising with team members, management, and tech team to ensure projects are completed to standard.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
- Motivating team members and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
Mandatory belongings that you must prepare:
- Min 10 years of experience manipulating large data sets, building and deploying AI/MLmodels and being able to monitor and maintain the scalability of the models.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (master degree or PhD are preferred)
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in programming, preferably using Python/Java
- Proficient in ML frameworks and libraries (e.g. Tensorflow, PyTorch)
- Solid understanding of basic Machine Learning concept (e.g. supervised, unsupervised)
- Experience in data visualization using: Tableau, Google Data Studio, D3, etc is a plus
