The Cross Border Logistics team’s objective is to build competitive logistics products and customized solutions to support various sales channels in winning deals and growing the business. As a member of the Cross Border Logistics team, the incumbent will be working closely with Regional Logistics Manager and Project Manager to manage vendor communications, negotiations and ensure operational stability.

Coordinate with various sales channels to build customized solution based on market demands
Manage and analyze lane P&L
Provide guidance to respective local team members on regional best practices and processes
Guide team members to build and grow our sea and land freight solutions
Manage communication with existing and new vendors
Manage and monitor vendor performance and organise constructive performance review and improvement plan
Responsible for decision making on vendor selection
Provide lane specific advice and information to XB management team and respective stakeholders
Bridge the gap between vendors, operations and commercial teams
Be the subject matter expert for the regional import and export environment.

This role exists with a main objective of bridging the gap between the regional and the local teams, to ensure that our solutions are
well customized to the local environment, taking into account the best practices from other regions. The Logistics Associate is expected to work with various stakeholders, from local operations team, to both local and regional commercial teams in ensuring a balance between the commercial needs and operational constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact between internal/external stakeholders and the Sea Freight team in lane specific matters and initiatives.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in supporting the planning and implementation of key projects.
  • Package information from various stakeholders and effectively cascade to respective team members on actionables.
  • Continuously provide guidance to local and regional team members to ensure alignment in tasks and focus
  • Provide effective updates to the Managers on key focus and issues pertaining to the team.
  • Provide lane specific information & advice to XB management to facilitate business performance review, marketing strategies & direction
  • To manage & handle shipment enquiries for respective lane as well as generate quotation
  • Conduct vendors assessment and evaluation for new vendors
  • Support the Solution Manager to ensure Ninja Van source suitable sea freight vendors based on commercial and operational requirements.
  • Continuously source for price competitive solutions from new and existing vendors to customize solutions.
  • Work with the Solution Manager to define project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Responsible for providing operational requirements and input prior/during vendor onboarding and pilot process
  • Responsible for monitoring vendor performances against targets.
  • Able to bridge and streamline vendor practices against industry standards .
  • Organize Weekly/Quarterly performance review with vendors and work out improvement plan
  • Support the Project Manager for onboarding and implementation for all vendors.
  • Responsible for collating and presenting
  • weekly/monthly performances on SLA.
  • Adherence/Compliance/Billing accuracy to stakeholders
  • Provide updates on initiatives and projects managed.
  • Establish visibility on key deliverables and KPIs.
  • Responsible and manage the lane P&L MM and ensure all buying rate and business performance metrics are delivered ahead of plans
  • Perform cost analysis and provide market insight to management

Requirements

  • Strong background in Logistics (Sea Freight & Trucking), ideally at least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any related field
  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite (Sheets, Slides and Docs)
  • English and Bahasa Indonesia. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus to facilitate communications with Mandarin speaking stakeholders
