Legal Counsel

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team.

The role is based out of Indonesia but you will be working as part of a regional team for corporate legal and compliance matters across the ASEAN.

Your job description

• Draft and finalize agreements, contracts, and other legal documents;
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations; 
• Obtain licenses for various businesses and products of the Company;
• Handle corporate matters such as Shareholder meetings, BOD meetings, Minutes, Shareholders agreements, Corporate Structures, Corporate Governance, etc.
• Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics, such as labor law, Commercial, eCommerce partnerships, international ventures   
• Day to day reporting and managing regulatory authorities.
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues 
• Ensure that policies and procedures for day to day operations of the Company, including contract management and table of authorities are followed by the internal teams.
• Advise stakeholders on external agreement/ contracts to prevent all risks and negotiate with partners
• Build risk and compliance management structures to protect the company from any potential risks.
• Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
• Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility
• Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation 

Your Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree majoring in Law; Master degree would be an added advantage
• 3-6 years of post-qualification experience with a law firm or as in house counsel in retail business handling corporate, litigation, as well as license & compliance;
• Having good relations with the government, notary, lawyer, and other third parties;
• Holding advocate license (PERADI) would be an added advantage.
• Having the ability to work in a fast-paced organization and within tight deadlines and have a strong business acumen;
• Having the good interpersonal skill and able to work either in a team or individually;
• Outstanding communication skills with excellent command of English;
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures;
• Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation.
