A. Training
1. Analyze training needs of the hotel in general and individual departments, and develop strategies which address needs, presenting in the form of a Training Business Plan for the General Manager and Guidance Team for review
2. Ensure effective training programs are in place for the following:
3. Monitor the progress of the Training Business Plan for each department to ensure that the training objectives are being achieved
4. Ensure the monthly training reports are produce timely to Guidance Team & Dept Head
5. Ensure all hotel training records well maintained
6. Ensure that Department Heads abide by their responsibilities of employee training against departmental SOPs
7. Design, produce and implement training program which meet specific departmental needs in conjunction with Guidance Team and Department Heads, ensuring that training session plans are structured and that training is effective
8. Attend departmental training session and give feedback for their performance
9. Familiarize yourself with the Ayana HR and Training Standards, localizing where necessary
10. Explores and monitor trends in the field of training and development and make a recommendation for hotel
11. Work with Guidance Team and Department Head on the Personal Improvement Plan
12. Assist Director of Human Resources in the preparation and management of the training Department’s budget
13. Liaise with other Training Managers to share experiences and resources
14. Regularly communicates with staff and maintains good relation
B. Talent Development
1. Establish a training library of books, videos, journals and audio visual materials to assist trainers in their training programs and for staff personal development
2. Delivers briefings of all internal training and development program for Guidance Team and Dept Heads
3. Work with DOHR and Guidance Team on identifying high potentials and developing succession plan
4. Work with DOHR on the implementation of Performance Review and Personal Development Plan
5. Obtain a network of specialist training professionals who can assist with the conduct of training program for advanced or specialist training
6. Liaises with Ayana Hospitality Management (AHM) on create, develop and implementation of training and development program, material and initiatives
7. Liaise with educational institutions conducting hospitality and training courses
8. Contributes towards hotel, Ayana Hospitality Management (AHM) and MidPlaza group activities as directed by Director of Human Resources / General Manager
9. Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance
