About the Role
In the GoPay ecosystem we deal with 3 primary stakeholders, Customers, Merchants and Payment Providers. In this role you will be working on the Merchant Experience charter, which is part of the Merchant Payments vertical in the company.
We are looking for a quick-learning, self-driven, and motivated Product Manager who obsesses over merchant problems to define the product vision and build products to scale. You look at every problem with the user’s lens and come up with the most effective and elegant solutions. Working alongside other Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, BI Analysts and Engineers we are focused on building newer product flows to help provide the smoothest experience to our Merchants.
As an incumbent of the role, you would be responsible for leading with a close sense of the merchant’s voice and crafting solutions which aim to solve their pain-points.
What You Will Do
- Deliver. You do more than talk - you put things on paper, get your hands dirty, and execute with precision make sure products and features are launched
- Formulate the long-term product strategy, half yearly OKRs, and strategic initiatives to ensure delivery of key business goals in collaboration with stakeholders from Engineering, Product, Business, Growth and Finance
- Capture insights from merchant-partner feedback, experiments, research, and data analysis to identify trends and pinpoint the drivers behind them; translate these insights into tactical solutions to improve our products
- Influence peers, stakeholders, and key executives through the use of data, logic, and user empathy
- Develop trusted relationships with engineering leaders, business leaders, and stakeholders to drive optimized product delivery to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner to them
- Understand that “one size doesn’t fit all” and conceptualize solutions that are configurable and adaptable to the maximum extent possible
- Be in the details. Know your team's work and partner team’s work in depth and understand impact for your team and stakeholders
- Define scalable processes for the team to follow resulting in gains in efficient deliver, better communication and feedback cycles
What You Will Need
- At least 8 years of product management experience in delivering highly successful and innovative merchant-facing products with stellar design and product instincts
- Understanding of Payments / Prior experience in Payments related products will be a plus
- Ability to break down complex problems, identify use cases and solutions while working in an unstructured environment
- Nuanced understanding of data, design, research, software engineering, business processes, and partner effectively with those teams
- Data-Driven First: When making decisions you leverage technical resources and data to support hypotheses. You are skilled at SQL and understand basic statistics, but you also know when to step back from the rabbit hole of ‘too many metrics’
- Strong communication skills to weave strategy, insights, priorities and plans forward into a structured and organized storyline at all levels of management
- You are a self starter, you love to understand systems inside out, and make it your mission to deliver quality products and A “Can-Do” Attitude: A positive attitude and passion for learning in fast-paced environments. We move fast!
- Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to insist on high standards and manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision

As Nasi Goreng is to the people of Indonesia, Payments is to a wide variety of Merchants in the South East Asian landscape: providing the nourishment to sustain businesses from the inside out. We run and oversee one of Southeast Asia's largest merchant platforms (under Midtrans and Spots), e-money wallet platforms and Indonesia's leading digital payments provider. We empower many large businesses that include Google, Disney+, McDonald’s, Tokopedia, Blibli, Jd.id, and Kitabisa. Both Midtrans and Spots are industry leaders at what they do and are the largest payment gateway and offline network for payments in Indonesia respectively.
