Lead ML Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• The team will research on and apply data science techniques to create solutions for the challenges faced by the business. We will combine expertise from multiple disciplines of data science, including graph analytics, computer vision, anomaly detection, etc. to create our solutions. The machine learning engineers work closely with other data scientists, data engineers and software engineers to bring machine learning models to production. He/she will also create platforms to make the process of developing and productionising such models more efficient.
• You will work closely with other data scientists, and other members of the data, engineering and product teams to develop platforms for accelerating the development and productionisation of machine learning models. This role requires you to be familiar with the models created using different machine learning frameworks, and the different approaches that could be used to productionise such models given the use-case. Some tasks that you will work on include:
• Research into the solutions in the market for machine learning ops (MLOps), and test and recommend the ones that best suit the needs of Fazz’s data science team
• Work with data scientists, other machine learning engineers and data engineers, and other business and engineering stakeholders to design platforms to accelerate the machine learning models’ development and productionisation process, and to enable more automated retraining of models in production
• Create monitoring systems to track performance of machine learning models
• Define and implement processes for the development and deployment of the machine learning models

What we’re looking for

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Engineering
• At least 2 years of experience in productionising machine learning models, preferably on Cloud-based platforms
• Experience deploying and preferably designing solutions for machine learning model deployment
• Hands-on experience in software engineering using python
• Experience with devops or cloud platform technologies
• Thrive in a collaborative environment

Nice to haves (Optional)

• Hands on experience building machine learning models
• Familiar with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services
• Relevant experience in Payments, Retail or Consumer Financial Services
