About the Role
As our Lead iOS Individual Contributor, you’ll be an integral player on our Commerce Enablement team based in Jakarta, Indonesia. With a talented team of Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Testers, Program Managers, and various Engineers, you’ll dive deep into building a POS system for both online and offline functions. By improving the overall code structure, developing clear and sustainable iOS software components, and ensuring robust, well-designed software systems, you’ll ensure our customers are given the most streamlined transaction flows and a reliable centralized payment platform.
What You Will Do
- Design, build and improve the online and offline mobile experiences for one of the world’s fastest growing POS mobile app
- Create the unit test with a high code coverage percentage, and accurately cover the whole business logic and ensure non-flakiness
- Coordinate with cross functional teams (i.e. Backend, DevOps, Design etc.) on planning and execution
- Proactively manage stakeholders communication related to deliverables, risks, changes and dependencies
- Mentor and provide career guidance for junior engineers on your team
- Decide what tech stack needed on iOS app that supports the requirement use cases
- Standardize code guidelines, regularly do code review, and make sure delivered code quality is the best
- Analyzing tech debt and propose the ultimate solution
What You Will Need
- At least 6 years of experience with iOS development
- Proficiency in Swift programming, Cocoa, Xcode, unit test, mobile database and the iOS SDK
- Strong understanding of iOS Apps architecture and implementation
- Ability to write model code for functional and nonfunctional requirements and help improve the code quality standard across the team
- Working experience with popular libraries for networking, concurrency, async, mobile database etc
- Well-versed with Agile methodologies, Git, CI/CD, Test Engineering and Automation
- Strong best practice clean code from high level to low level
- Ability to propose tech stack in proper documentation format

The Commerce Enablement team is a family of 120+ engineers based in Jakarta, Singapore, and India. We consistently strive to implement solutions that allow our merchant partners in Indonesia (and the greater Southeast Asian region) to sell their products both online and offline. We also work to improve the merchant partner experience by product innovation and integration with the rest of the Gojek ecosystem. With that in mind, from an engineering perspective, our challenges are to evolve a general platform for e-commerce that is sufficiently versatile to support rapid product iterations across multiple products, as well as scaling up to an ever-growing user-base. To tackle these challenges, we have adopted event-driven architectural patterns in our engineering designs, as well as agile practices across all our day-to-day processes.This COVID era has been hard on all of us. Off-hours, we are doing our best to stay in touch and continue to bond through fun online activities. Once COVID is over, we are looking forward to resuming our regular team-wide social activities such as dinner-and-drinks evenings and team off-sites
