About the role:
Fasten your helmet and climb aboard if you’re ready to be our Lead Frontend Engineer. GoBiz Merchant Platform team in Indonesia and India provides solutions for merchants across Indonesia and other southeast Asian countries. The GoBiz merchant platform supports a massive network of small, medium, and large businesses.
The platform delivers a world-class merchant experience through multimodal surfaces on the mobile, web, and open APIs. The teams achieve this through the latest frontend architectures that enable internal product teams like GoFood and GoPay, to deliver rich experiences through the GoBiz surfaces.
The platform provides efficient and effective capabilities for cross-cutting concerns across multiple GoJek teams. Internal teams can hence focus on delivering profound experiences without reinventing capabilities. The platform teams invest in large-scale distributed event-driven systems with cloud-native frameworks to provide high-performance, stable, and operationally efficient systems.
What You Will Do
- Designing, developing and managing multiple secure and reliable web applications that process and manage transactions
- Communicate with UI/UX and Research team to do further improvement
- Adapt with technical trend in web application to support product’s quality
- Responsible for product compatibility across devices
- Active in specification planning with Backend Engineers and QA
What You Will Need
- Have at least 5 years experience working in frontend for desktop and mobile web platform
- Familiar with design tools and convert them to actual code (HTML+CSS+JavaScript)
- Well-versed in other non-vanilla languages for example TypeScript
- Well-versed in standard frontend framework such as ReactJS
- Well-versed with CSS preprocessors & modern CSS frameworks
- Good understanding on unit testing tools such as Jest
- Good understanding on basic security aspects on frontend and how to mitigate them
- Experience in Progressive Web App development

The GoBiz Merchant Platform organization is a family of around 230+ people based across Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and India. The organization has many exciting well-rounded roles in strategy, technology, product management, business operations, sales, program management, and merchant care.
The team builds products and services that enable merchants to manage their business. For example, the Gobiz services help manage food delivery orders, accept payments, manage offline orders through a POS, etc. The gist of our role is to create an ecosystem of solutions to support millions of our merchants in the GoTo ecosystem to manage better and grow their businesses while enabling both internal and external product stakeholders to develop merchant-based solutions sustainably.
We are also the team inside of GoTo company who carry the responsibility to be the voice of Merchants to internal GoTo teams and drive continuous improvement related to product, process, and organization so we can collectively deliver high-quality products and services to our merchants.
