About the team:

  • At the same time, we understand the importance of maintaining a strong culture of compliance to protect our organization and ensure the trust of our customers. Our Compliance Team is at the forefront of identifying and addressing regulatory risks, implementing controls, and ensuring that our policies and procedures align with regulatory requirements. This allows Aspire to stay ahead of evolving regulations, proactively identifying potential risks and developing comprehensive risk mitigation strategies, hence contributing to our long-term success. 

About the role:

  • Lead a team of AML, KYC analysts to conduct Onboarding/ Periodic Reviews
  • Design & implement frameworks and continuously improve our KYC capabilities 
  • Ensures that all engaged/onboarded client records are compliant with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) regulatory standards in a timely fashion
  • Assist in investigating AML-related issues and escalated cases
  • Explore ways and methods to ensure the KYC process and procedures is seamless
  • Ensures a pleasant experience for clients
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively look for ways to improve and streamline the processes
  • Provide regular updates on the performance and well-being of the team to the KYC lead; Coach and develop the team

Minimum qualifications: 

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in KYC and AML/CFT
  • Strong understanding of KYC or AML procedures for financial institutions
  • Experience in managing a team is essential
  • Proactiveness in driving change and willingness to roll-up sleeves and get things done
  • Passion for the fintech industry and a cultural fit with start-up mindset

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional AML/CFT certification (e.g. ICA Certificate or Diploma, ACAMS) is a plus but not essential. 
  • Experience in consulting or banking environment
  • Ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment
