About the Role

The candidate will focus on the development and use of advanced analytics to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness as well as drive innovation in the Internal Audit organisation within Bank Jago.

Responsibilities:

• Identify data analytics opportunities and use cases, develop understanding of various data sources and how they can be used to improve internal audit capabilities
• Apply a strong understanding of business processes, risks and controls to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions in anomaly detection that simplify audit processes and increase efficiency
• Promote the adoption and integration of data science tools and techniques into the audit lifecycle
• Evaluate data analytics requests and work collaboratively with auditors, data owners, data analysts and data science team to deliver working solutions in an agile and iterative manner
• Implement dashboards for monitoring and communication with stakeholders

Role requirements:

• A tertiary education in a quantitative discipline.
• Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
• Working knowledge of data science techniques and big data tools
• At least 7-years of experience in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of SQL, python, and BI Tools (at least one of Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Data Studio, Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools).
• Ability to translate abstract questions to tangible solutions.
• Good communication skills. Ability to work in a cross-functional team (matrix) with technical and non-technical people.
• Proactive and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and priorities

* Example of an on-going audit's data project:

• Create an audit planning assistance tool to identify high-risk area/processes that require attention/review
• Analysis of Partnership Business Solution (i.e. the lending side of the business) delinquent customers to evaluate the efficacy of existing customer risk acceptance criteria
• Monitoring of promotional disbursements to evaluate fairness and to identify potential abuse
• Monitoring the accuracy of interest and fees paid to the customers
• GL monitoring to identify balance anomalies
• Regulatory reporting monitoring (data completeness, accuracy)
