Descriptions
- Build and maintain CI/CD solutions.
- Building, maintain, and operating our Kubernetes clusters on the google cloud.
- Work closely with software engineering teams to improve availability, latency, performance, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning.
- Build a metrics-driven operational culture standardizing our practices for A service-level objective (SLO) definition and review as well as for logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Make iterative improvements to blameless incident management processes, root cause analyses, outage prevention, and service recovery strategies across the engineering organization.
- Develop and maintain automation systems to reduce toil and to run our infrastructure at scale
Requirements
- Strong software development skills in at least one programming language Go or Python.
- A desire to stay on the cutting edge of infrastructure and automation technologies.
- Have solid knowledge in Linux systems like the back of your hand and mastered the fundamental TCP/IP networking protocols (e.g. HTTP, DNS, etc)
- Experienced infrastructure tools like Ansible, Puppet and Jenkins
- Experienced with scaling MySQL, Cockroachdb and large tables.
- Production experience with infrastructure frameworks like Kubernetes, Envoy, Elasticsearch, Consul, Istio
- Production experience with Cloud Platforms such as Google Cloud (GCP) ; VPC networking, GCE, GKE, GCS, PubSub, Spanner, GCS, App Engine, BigQuery
- Experience in web app security, vulnerability research, and penetration testing.
