AYANA Hospitality is a premier luxury hotel and resort group that operates some of the finest hotels and restaurants around the world. We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Mixologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our beverage program, ensuring that our guests are consistently delighted with the quality of our cocktails, wines and other drinks. This is a critical role within our organization, and we are looking for someone who has a passion for the hospitality industry, a deep knowledge of mixology, and a track record of excellence in managing beverage programs.


Responsibilities

  • Lead all efforts related to our beverage program, including designing new cocktail menus, selecting wines and other beverages, creating signature drinks, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Manage a team of bartenders and other beverage staff, overseeing their work, providing guidance and training as needed, and ensuring that they deliver exceptional service to our guests.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and organizing all beverage items.
  • Work closely with other members of the culinary team to ensure that beverage offerings are well-matched with our food menu, and make recommendations for changes or additions as necessary.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the beverage program, analyzing data on sales, costs, and other key performance metrics, and making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized bar area, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order, and that sanitation standards are upheld at all times.
  • Develop and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners as needed to support the beverage program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, or similar field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in mixology and beverage management, preferably in a luxury hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, beer and wine service, and other aspects of mixology.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of beverage staff, including hiring, training, and coaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members at all levels.
  • Strong financial management skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
