The Head of Digital Fraud Strategy creates and executes a comprehensive framework to address the risk of fraud, cybercrime threats, and digital vulnerabilities. This role ensures the organization's resilience in an evolving digital banking landscape by proactively mitigating risks and embedding risk intelligence into business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Strategic Digital  Risk Management 
  • Develop a cutting-edge strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate cybercrime and digital fraud risks.  
  • Lead enterprise-wide digital risk initiatives, ensuring alignment with the bank’s digital transformation goals.  
  • Advise executive level on digital fraud risk, regulatory developments, and mitigation strategies.

  • 2. Digital Fraud Management
  • Design and implement advanced fraud detection and prevention mechanisms tailored for digital banking and Tunaiku products.  
  • Leverage data analytics and machine learning to predict and identify digital fraud threats.  
  • Lead the organization’s response to digital fraud and cyberattacks, ensuring timely containment, investigation, and resolution.

  • 3. Digital Risk Integration
  • Collaborate with Technology, Product & Business Unit teams to ensure all digital banking platforms are secure and risk-aware.  
  • Embed risk management into product development, ensuring a secure-by-design approach for digital offerings.  
  • Anticipate future fraud trends by analyzing industry insights, technological advancements, and fraudulent behavioral patterns.

  • 4. Regulatory Compliance and Governance
  • Develop and maintain a robust governance framework for digital fraud prevention.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial service industry, with a minimum of 5 years in fraud, credit risk, or financial forensics and fraud investigation role. 
  • Strong understanding of fraud detection technologies, AI/ML models, and digital banking platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to financial fraud and risk management.
  • Experience with a management or technology consulting firm or a similar position at an industry-leading company is a strong advantage
  • Strong analytical skills with experience analyzing complex problems.
  • Strategic and critical thinking with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Science, or a related field is preferred.
