Ruangguru is a tech-enabled education company that provides a one-stop learning experience for students to have better access to quality content and service. Ruangguru has allowed students to access better quality educational content in the form of learning videos, question banks, test-prep materials, and study notes. Ruangguru platform has been proven to not only help families reduce the cost for education, but also elevate student outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner of Ruangguru's stakeholders across the company to develop and implement strategic internal communication plans that help further the company’s mission, business objectives, and culture, and cultivate meaningful two-way dialogue across the organization.
  • Create robust communication plans and materials for internal leadership, company strategic initiatives, and Associate-facing communications in close collaboration with Human Resources and other strategic partners.
  • Lead, manage, and deliver an external communications work program, including media relations, PR, awards, corporate publications, and events.
  • Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams including Research, Product, Legal, Policy, and Marketing to better understand the communications issues facing Ruangguru and its family of apps.
  • Develop reports to ensure the Board, Senior Management Team and other management committees are updated on key reputation risks and issues.
  • Develop external speeches and presentations on behalf of Senior Management Team members.
  • Proactive and reactive media inquiries, media releases and statements, briefings, and building relationships with journalists, media advice and interview support, crisis communications.
  • As a key media contact and company representatives, including but not limited to product launches, media interviews, and many other media engagements.
  • Become their trusted partner and advisor on communication issues.
  • Promote our mission, vision, and values internally, helping us strengthen our culture as a competitive advantage.
  • Design and deliver recognition and awards, employee events, learning, and development sessions to promote our brand, culture, and strategy.
  • Develop an approach to track the effectiveness of communications in maximizing focus and engagement, and adjust programs where necessary .
  • Ensure alignment on consistent messaging with internal and external audiences, and timing of communications.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years work experience in a corporate role driving creative and impactful internal communications programs, marketing communications, or a related discipline; experience in a high-tech, consulting, agency or fast-paced startup, disruptive environment a plus.
  • Have a full understanding of media needs and media relationships.
  • Experience speaking on the record as a company spokesperson.
  • Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms.
  • Experience developing and managing integrated communications programs.
  • Experience in working with internal email communication tools. A strategic thinker with proven ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to lead, manage and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and nimble environment.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in influencing senior leadership.
  • Strong self-starter with a history of successful project execution.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
