What you may be doing - Leading, Directing & Managing:
- Responsible for leading and directing the QA leadership team.
- Direct the development of the QA strategy, competency matrix, methodology, discipline and framework.
- Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact for the QA teams.
- Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques across the teams.
Team Management & Impact:
- Participate in interviews, induction, training and performance evaluation of all QA leads.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise within the field of Quality Assurance and Testing.
- Monitoring of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes.
- Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation.
- Reduce test SLAs and cost to achieve more productivity for QA team & shortened deployment process.
Learning & Development:
- Manage training and continuous learning of QA staff by means of short courses, conferences, meetups, certifications, etc
Collaboration:
- Supporting the Product and SDET team in areas of automated testing and agile testing.
- Work with QA managers, Engineering & Engineering in Test managers and the Software Development Director to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.
What we're looking for
- You’ll thrive as a Quality Assurance Manager if you: 5+ years of experience in a Software Quality/ Software Quality Assurance Leadership role and 3+ years in Management specifically.
- Solid engineering foundation indicated by a demonstrated understanding of life cycle, software development practices and support services.
- Experience in automation test methodologies and tools including complex API, Microservices, and/or data solutions across multiple technologies and cloud platforms.
- Experience testing scalable, flexible software development systems.
- Experience in building, managing, defining and implementing testing methodologies, processes, procedures, systems and schedules that will ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality releases
