Forecasting, Planning & Analysis – Competitor Intelligence
FP&A in Shopee stands for Forecasting, Planning, and Analysis. We emphasise more on problem solving and less on financial knowledge. In a way, we are internal consultants for the highest level of management, reaching as high as to the CEO.
Job Description:
- Collect data about the business’s key competitors
- Investigate a variety of sources to gather insights about how the competition is doing
- Analyze and model available data for important trends or patterns to estimate competitor performance
- Generate a comprehensive report that includes a broad range of recommendations for the business’s strategy moving forward
- Identify and implement solutions to improve key performance and financial metrics
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on internal issues of management concerns including spearheading internal projects to support the firm’s strategic objectives
- Work on ad-hoc projects and assignments with the most efficient execution
- Do forecasting, planning & analysis on firm’s key performance & financial metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputable university, preferably in Engineering/Business
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English
- Demonstrated aptitude for analytics
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in Financial Modelling
- Experience in SQL is a plus
