DevOps Engineer - Merchant Payments

About the role
As a Devops Engineer you will be a part of the Merchant Payments Devops Team. Working with energetic and talented troop of engineers, Your primary focus will be on building, operating, and maintaining the Merchant Payments systems on cloud/on-premises, Constantly diagnosing the health of the system, responding to incidents, and providing support to all payment ecosystems. You will work very closely with developer and product stakeholders to deliver and support high-quality products and systems. An intermediate understanding of code/programming and automation is therefore necessary as well.
What You Will Do
- Build, operate and maintaining infra apps in all env (on-premises and cloud)
- Create, maintain and fix/troubleshoot cookbook on chef and terraform and also on all infra apps (Kafka, Redis, Haproxy, consul, squid, etc)
- Maintaining and providing support on Kubernetes cluster on all environment
- Be on a pagerduty schedule to respond incidents
- As BAU to provide support and work closely with internal/external merchant/customer
- Collaborate and sharing between devops team
- Documenting every action so it's not turn into repeatable actions and then start for automation
- Learning about product updates and new technologies
- Researching new technologies or improvements on automation and systems
What You Will Need
- Advanced knowledge in Linux
- Intermediate knowledge in Kubernetes/Docker
- Intermediate knowledge in Infra Apps (Kafka, Redis, Haproxy, etc)
- Intermediate knowledge in Automation tools (Chef, Terraform, etc)
- Intermediate knowledge in Networking
- Familiar with Cloud environment (GCP, AWS)
- Familiar with code and scripting (Golang or Python and Shell script)
- Strong team player, work well under pressure

Our Merchant Payments squad currently consists of passionate engineers based in Jakarta, Singapore, and Gurgaon. We run Southeast Asia’s leading selling platform for online and onsite merchants. It's our job to oversee all things related to empowering business owners, and to create a seamless and efficient payment gateway solution. We help accommodate our merchants' needs via our Gojek services to facilitate in managing and growing their businesses. The big question that we’re always trying to solve is: How can we better improve our digital experience for our merchants?
We’re a high-performing, tight-knit team who are committed to the growth of the company, as well as each other’s personal growth and wellbeing. Pre-Covid, factions of our team would enjoy catching up over a round of drinks after work. However, with WFH becoming more normalized, we've been sharing our favorite ways to prioritize a healthy work-life balance at home. Off-hours, you’d probably find us binging The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix, whipping up a loaf of sourdough bread, or trying our best to survive a HIIT workout on YouTube.
