Data Platform DevOps Engineer

Your tasks as a Data Platform DevOps Engineer at Shopee will include but are not limited to:

Job Description:

• Responsible for feature deployment, automation, integration, and local server architecture and maintenance
• Create and maintain optimal product feature architecture
• Design and implement continuous delivery systems for agile development
• Able to do configuration management & provide support for GCP and on-premise resources as needed
• Liaise with data platform engineers and Site Reliability Engineering team on feature development, infrastructure management, performance assessment and monitoring
• Work with stakeholders including the Business Intelligence Analyst and Engineer to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems or any related field
• Sufficient knowledge in Linux (especially Ubuntu/Debian distribution) and bash scripting language (Bash, Python & Go)
• Sufficient experience in using container orchestration tool (Docker swarm or Kubernetes)
• Sufficient in using open-source automation tools (Git, Jenkins, Ansible)
• Have experience within Automation area of expertise using Cloud Infrastructures Services
• Have experience managing on-premise infrastructures
• Have sound knowledge of data management
• Have experience related to data architecture or software development
• Have any exposure in using big data related tools (freelance / solid private projects will be considered)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment
