Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing and generating infrastructure that allows big data to be accessed and analyzed.
- Building secure and cost-optimal data pipeline infrastructure using cloud computing
- Modeling data pipeline infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practice
- Reformulating existing frameworks to optimize their functioning.
- Testing such structures to ensure that they are fit for use.
- Preparing raw data for manipulation by data scientists.
- Detecting and correcting errors in your work.
- Ensuring that your work remains backed up and readily accessible to relevant coworkers.
- Remaining up-to-date with industry standards and technological advancements that will improve the quality of your outputs.
Desired Experience
- A minimum 5 years in data engineer, software developer, or similar.
- Experience in building ETL pipeline
- Expert proficiency in Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Familiarity in big data and analytics technology such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Presto, etc.
- Familiarity with cloud computing big data and analytics services in AWS or GCP such as Amazon RedShift, Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena, AWS Glue, Google BigQuery, Google DataFlow, Google Cloud Composer.
- Familiarity in Infrastructure as Code
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Points if...
- Experience working with complex organizations, particularly within Telco space
- Experience working in the consumer edu-tech space
- Experience working with regulators/ governmental bodies
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Machine Learning, Data Science & Statistic
- Have certifications in data engineering such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Google Cloud Certified Data Engineer.
