How did it all start?
Founded on March 15, 1991, in Surabaya as PT Anglomas International Bank (Amin Bank), the bank was acquired by Tolaram Group and transformed to PT Bank Amar Indonesia (Amar Bank) in 2014. It has then undergone a significant digital transformation to become one of the country's forerunning fintech institutions through its award-winning digital lending platform, Tunaiku.

Amar Bank, a leading digital bank in Indonesia and home to innovative financial products like Tunaiku, is looking for a Credit Legal Team Lead to join our Legal & Litigation Division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of law, finance, and technology, making a tangible impact on the future of financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal services, including advisory, agreement drafting, agreement reviewing, legal analysis, negotiation with counterparts, and product exploration.
- Assist and maintain all required corporate filings, corporate documents, licensing, and reports according to applicable laws and regulations.
- Review and interpret applicable new laws and regulations and understand their impact on day-to-day business.
- Work with other functions/circles to review the proposed product, features, and activity of the company.
- Provide day-to-day legal support to other teams or circles within the organization.
- Carry out independent legal research across many different areas of law and industry that are relevant to the products of the company.
- Where needed, manage, and communicate with external parties.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimal Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable University or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Credit Legal or a similar role (preferably in the banking or financial services industry)
- Strong knowledge of commercial contracts and third-party partnership arrangements.
- Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, and confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and analytical thinking.
- Ability to handle tasks under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Team player who can also work independently when needed.
Bonus Points:
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with legal compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
