Conversational AI Engineer

AYANA Hospitality is one of the leading hotel management companies in Indonesia. We are most probably one of the earliest adopters of LLM in hospitality in a production environment. Our ambition is to deploy and embed generative AI technologies into all aspects of our business - both towards guests as well as our team. We see strong potential in generative AI’s reasoning capabilities, and believe that the technology will help support our teams as we strive to provide the highest level of hospitality for our guests.

As a conversational AI engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Design, develop, and deploy conversational AI applications, such as chatbots and voice assistants, to assist guests and internal teams with inquiries, reservations, and personalized recommendations.
• Integrate conversational AI applications with our existing systems, such as reservation softwares, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and property management systems (e.g., Opera).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including guest experience, F&B, marketing, and operations, to identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions and implement them effectively.
• Research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in conversational AI, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of conversational AI applications, making data-driven decisions to optimize their effectiveness and user experience.
• Ensure the security and privacy of guest data in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and training to team members on the use and maintenance of conversational AI applications.

• Proficiency in English with exceptional communication skills for effective prompt engineering.
• Experience including deployment with OpenAI APIs, including the new Assistant API, as well as familiarity with open source models like LLama and Gemma.
• Strong passion for generative AI and language models, with a keen interest in continuous learning and application of new AI technologies.
• Experience with conversational AI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex is highly desirable.
