To strengthen decision-making and problem-solving, the Commercial Analyst will analyze and report trends and insights in the commercial segment, or its top shippers.
The analyst is expected to report relevant operational KPIs to the Shipper Ops Analyst.
The Commercial Segment Analyst will work closely with the Unit head and team to develop strategies and recommendations that will drive growth and profitability in the commercial segment.
Job Description:
Research and analyze operational KPIs and standards of the relevant commercial segment or industry, and of the top shippers/clients from that segment or industry
Develop and maintain models to monitor commercial aspects of the segment or industry (i.e. Top delivery lanes, discounts, ASPs)
Monitor and report on the performance of the commercial segment, including volume, revenue and ASP (average selling price), as well as acquisition and retention
Monitor and report on the performance of the commercial segment, including sales, revenue, and market share
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to improve customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction in the commercial segment (i.e. Run a promotion on specific destination lanes to increase volume)
Provide insights and recommendations to the sales team to drive growth and profitability in the commercial segment (i.e. Negotiate with targeted shippers to update discount apt to their volume)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Industrial Engineering, Economics, or other business-related courses)
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel or Spreadsheet
Experience in SQL is a plus
Familiar with logistics or E-commerce is a plus
Minimum of 1 year related experience but open to Fresh Graduates
