  • Ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department to provide support to all the other departments.
  • To provide services as required and to maintain equipment, building and grounds in excellent condition.
  • Set high personal and professional standards for your department by your own performance.
  • Recognize outstanding individual performance in your department and deal with substandard performance fairly, immediately and constructively.
  • Give clear, concise directions, provide support and supervise your employee to ensure that directions are properly executed.
  • Responsible for the cost-effective operation of the Engineering Department.
  • Prepare the annual and revised Engineering budget with the cooperation of the financial controller and management.Keep accurate records and closely monitor Engineering budget expenditures
  • Develop and implement a Comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Program for all equipment in the hotel.
  • Coordinate and when necessary, supervise project and use of outside contractor.
  • Establish a well – organized Engineering store and keep close control of materials' consumption, store and inventory.
  • Implement comprehensive elevator emergency procedures and organize employee training with the elevator manufacturer’s agent on emergency release procedures.
  • Inspect all the buildings for defective or deficient safety features, and monitor the condition of operating equipment throughout the hotel, including those areas with difficult accessibility.
  • Advise management of potential improvements to the Engineering operation.
  • Assist the general stores with suggestions for the most economic purchase of parts and consumables, and write clear and concise purchase requests for such items.
  • Have thorough knowledge of laws concerning employment and industrial relations
  • Control and monitor consumption of utilities and ensure that all departments make Optimal use of energy.
  • Assume full responsibility for building maintenance, and guestroom and public area rehabilitation.
  • Responsible for the implementation of all company safety procedures
  • Has Experience in a similar position at a 5 star Resort
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skill
  • Has excellent leadership skills
  • Has the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Has related license, Certificates and (or) diploma to support candidates's qualification
  • Is Hands -on and committed to team building and collaboration
  • Is able to handle a multitude of task in an intense , ever changing environment with excellent time management skills.
