About the Role

Fasten your helmets and climb onboard as our Business Development Manager for GoBox and GoShop. In this role, you’ll act as our external representative for all strategic partnership and business relationships of the two products we focus on. Some of the tasks that you’ll have full ownership over includes not just those related to devising partnership roadmaps but also continuously improving our operational flow as well as conducting research to find insights from various sources. Colleagues from the Transport & Logistic group and from other functions such as Product, Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Research teams will be your constant companions on this ride. Your efforts will further position Gojek as the most trusted transportation & logistic platform in the region - how exciting!

What You Will Do

  • Act as the main point of contact for external clients to understand their needs and issues, then translate them into how we can solve them through partnership with our products
  • Identify business problems and growth opportunities and through research and conversations (either desk and on-ground) with customers, drivers, fleet operators, and shop owners.
  • Ensure top operational excellence by continuously review & improve various aspects of our internal operations, from the flow to the help center
  • Work together with the Product team to identify actionable insights and build/improve features
  • Prepare routine reports and present findings to senior management to drive strategic business decisions

What You Will Need

  • At least 4 years of working experience as Business Development, Sales, or other related roles in a logistics, on-demand service, or a SaaS company
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the intricacies within an actual on-ground operational environment
  • Strong communication and project management skills as well as a well-rounded ownership approach to manage complex projects and stakeholders
  • A data-driven problem-solving mindset that can balance tradeoffs and make recommendations by using the combination of desk-research analysis and on-ground insights
  • Comfortability with working in a highly ambiguous environment
About the Team

The Transport and Logistics group comprises 30+ people based across our operating countries. We oversee all things transport and logistics (GoCar, GoRide, GoSend, GoBox, GoShop) at Gojek and work to create delightful customer experience and growth for our company. Our GoBox and GoShop S&P team in particular is a 3-person business team working closely with a couple of PMs and Engineers.

As a team, we're concerned not only with the growth of the company, but each other's personal growth and well-being, too. Off-hours, you’d probably find us sharing pictures of the delicious meals we’ve ordered on GoFood with each other (what can we say… we’re loyal!) or deep in discussion over our travel bucket list. Working from home has been a strange time for a lot of us, but we’re sure glad for Slack and Zoom for keeping our team as close as ever.
