About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play an important role in setting the foundational strategy of Insurance Platform within Gojek’s Financial Services team. You’ll take the wheel in creating the most impactful insurance business solutions for our users and strategic partners, and steer the partnership strategy and delivery of growth targets for the team. Throughout this exciting experience, you’ll build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, from product, marketing, research, and operation team, leading the platform development organisation to meet the fast-paced nature of the financial technology industry.
What You Will Do
- Grow the business development organisation to meet the fast-paced nature of the financial technology industry, focusing on insurance
- Build strategic and non-strategic relationships with our partners throughout the life cycle of our strategic collaboration
- Identify and meet customers and partners' needs and collaborate with the Product team to provide a tech-enabled solution for insurance platform
- Always be on top of market and regulatory trends, as well as the competitive landscape in the insurance industry
- Measure and report on insurance platform performance, gain insight and assess against goals
- Conduct market research and craft presentations for insurance platform strategy
What You Will Need
- A Bachelor’s / Masters or an equivalent degree
- Should have at least 2 year working experience, experience working with financial service companies is a plus
- Having an in-depth knowledge of insurance businesses/products and value proposition is a plus
- Strong project management skill to manage complex projects; also can manage and prioritise multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and data analytics ability
- Proficiency in Ms. Excel/Google Sheet with expertise in financial modelling
- Good knowledge of SQL is a plus

This role will be part of the Insurance Platform team within Gojek’s Financial Services Platform. We are constantly figuring out new ways to prioritise easy access to financial products like insurance with scalable integration for a wider range of partners in new verticals. The team will work not only with Gojek internal product teams like Transport, Food, Logistic, etc, but also with our third-party insurtech and other partners in the financial sector. This is an exciting time to join our relatively new squad as we’re prepared to expand rapidly in 2023 by tapping into newly-emerged offerings within the Gojek group ecosystem and beyond.
