Boat Technician - AYANA Komodo

AYANA Hospitality, a renowned hospitality brand, is seeking a skilled Boat Technician for their AYANA Komodo property located in the breathtaking Flores Sea. As a Boat Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all boats used by the resort for recreation and transportation are in optimal condition. You will be working with a team of experienced professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that rewards hard work and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on boats to ensure they are safe and seaworthy.
• Keep detailed records of the maintenance and repairs performed on each boat.
• Perform pre-and post-sailing checks on boats to ensure they are ready for use.
• Clean boats and maintain equipment used in the maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with boats and recommend solutions.
• Coordinate with the Dock Master and other departments to ensure timely maintenance of boats.
• Remain up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices related to boat maintenance and repair.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in boat maintenance and repair preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of boats or marine equipment.
• Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, electrical systems, marine plumbing, and hull maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in using common hand and power tools used in boat maintenance and repair.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely in a marine environment.
• Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
