The Beverage Director role is responsible to manage beverage and bar operations efficiently and effectively through achieving budgeted revenue, and profit, and maintaining beverage costs. This management role includes Team member supervision and scheduling, preparation of bar operation, beverage and bar order request, costing, stock control, and communication with relevant departments. The role is responsible for ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and maximum average check.


Summary of responsibilities:

  • Exhibit and encourage high performance standards for themselves and others.
  • Able to operate the bar and competent with bartender skills and beverage knowledge.
  • Maintain an organized system to ensure that processes are carried out on time and efficiently.
  • To interact with guests as much as possible to ascertain preferences, dislikes, and overall experience during their visit.
  • To ensure that all team members provide a courteous and professional service at all times and follow service standards.
  • Effectively identify & anticipate guest needs & Handle challenging situations with guests according to the problem resolution process.
  • To ensure all food and beverage items are served to guests with the highest standard and presentation as per platting guide standard.
  • To monitor all costs, and expenses and recommend/institute measures to control them in accordance with the annual budget are strictly controlled.
  • To be instrumental in the building of an effective and efficient team member by taking an active interest in welfare, safety, training, and development.
  • Minimum of 2 years of solid experience in Senior Manager level in high volume bar & restaurant beverage field or in an international working environment such as a large 5-star luxury resort or a cluster role.
  • Having good sounds of food and beverage product knowledge.
  • Eloquent in English communication in both written and spoken.
  • Participate/in certified hygiene and sanitation training
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Diploma 3 (D3) graduate from a reputable institution majoring in hotel or hospitality management.
