[All Levels] Software Engineer (Back-end) - Remote Work

Hijra Engineering is the technology backbone of Hijra, the next-generation financial institution offering Sharia-compliant financial products to personal and business customers in Indonesia. Hijra’s financial services are purposefully ethical, inclusive, sustainable, and socially responsible.
We are looking for passionate software engineers with excellent computer science fundamentals to join our engineering team.
Expected salary for this role: Rp 12.8 millions to Rp 32.8 millions (monthly netto, based on YoE).
Responsibilities
- Develop features and improvements to Hijra services
- Collaborate with other stakeholders (product, front-end, SRE, security, etc) to iterate on new features
- Craft high-quality code and participate actively in code review to advocate for these standards
- Identify areas of improvements, invest time and energy on solving tech debts
- Partner with the SRE team to ensure a streamlined but flawless continuous delivery
Requirements
- Mastery of Spring Boot or another web application framework
- Experience writing unit tests
- Strong understanding of Java, Kotlin, or Go
- Familiarity with Git
- Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and verbal communication
- Ability to thrive in a fully remote & asynchronous organization
