About The Role
The Agri Business Operation & Market Intelligence is responsible for optimizing accounts receivable (AR) performance while leveraging market intelligence to generate leads for the sales team and refine pricing strategies.
This role ensures that sales efforts are targeted at high-potential customers and that pricing decisions are backed by market data, balancing revenue growth with financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. AR Performance Monitoring, Collection, & Improvement
- Track aging receivables, overdue payments, and collection effectiveness.
- Analyse AR performance indicators.
- Identify bottlenecks in the collection process and propose improvements.
- Arrange collection activity for overdue accounts.
- Prepare weekly & monthly reports on AR status, collection trends, and cash flow impact.
2. Market Intelligence for Lead Generation
- Conduct market research to identify new customer prospects and emerging industry opportunities.
- Analyse customer behaviour, industry trends, and competitor activities to generate high-quality sales leads.
- Identify companies or sectors with strong financial health as priority targets for sales.
- Provide geographical (local and hyper-local) and industry segmentation insights to focus sales efforts on high-potential markets.
3. Pricing Strategy & Market-Based Adjustments
- Collect and analyse market price data, competitor pricing, and customer willingness to pay.
- Work with sales and finance teams to adjust pricing models based on market demand and AR insights.
- Provide recommendations on discounts, promotions, and contract structures to maximize revenue.
- Ensure pricing aligns with customer risk profiles and payment behaviours to minimize bad debt exposure.
- Track pricing effectiveness and suggest data-driven pricing optimizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or any related degree.
- Experience in market research, pricing analysis, or sales analytics.
- Experience in enhancing customer payment collectability and reducing outstanding receivables.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, Power BI, or CRM tools.
- Ability to interpret financial and market data to support sales and pricing decisions.
- Strong understanding of marketing frameworks and their application in market intelligence and sales strategy.
